This program provides loan repayment assistance to human services professionals to recruit and retain them to work for community-based human service agencies. It aims to address the high turnover rate and struggle to maintain consistent staffing at human service agencies.

To receive this loan repayment, an applicant’s employer or former employer must sign the HUMAN SERVICES PROFESSIONAL LOAN REPAYMENT PROGRAM EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION FORM. This form verifies the applicant’s employment with an approved agency. Applicants must submit this form to ISAC when they apply for the program.
ISAC will send loan repayment funds to the lender of the applicants’ loan(s).
2025-26
The Human Services Professional Loan Repayment Program application for the 2026 Award Year is available.
To be timely, an application for the 2026 award year must be submitted by the priority consideration date May 31, 2026.
Awarding of funds took place in January and March 2026. Additional awarding is anticipated in June 2026.
