ISAC's Research, Planning & Policy Analysis (RPPA) Department conducts research and analysis related to ISAC-administered student financial aid programs and general financial aid issues, as well as provides program evaluation, modeling and forecasting, market research, and strategic planning services. We provide higher education research and analysis services for partners and policymakers to support their policy and planning. Our research, data, and policy analysis also supports ISAC’s internal strategic work by providing context and framing solutions for policy, program, and business decisions of the agency.
Data Books
ISAC’s annual Data Books include annual program expenditures and recipients by institution and counts of statewide outreach activities, as well as historical information. Complete ISAC annual Data Books are available, in addition to select individual tables and figures for the current year. Summary tables of program expenditures and recipients by year, institution, and program are also available.
Program Data
Current and historical data related to the Monetary Award Program and other ISAC programs. This includes mean weighted tuition and fees for MAP-approved institutions, a description of how MAP awards are calculated, summary demographic and eligibility characteristics of MAP-eligible students, and data on other ISAC scholarship and grant programs. This section also includes Federal Pell Grant expenditures and recipients at Illinois schools by academic year.
Research & Reports
Research items completed by ISAC staff including statutorily-mandated reports like the MAP Evaluation and AIM HIGH Report, white papers, program assessments, survey findings, and studies of student populations.
Task Forces, Working Groups & Advisory Groups
Includes final reports as well as meeting agendas and resource materials for groups underway.
